Buttons

An old reference to a relatively small gathering of people, mostly friends, where about two-thirds of everyone's drinks are spiked with LSD, and the lucky individuals of the party trip out while the people who have no LSD in their drinks are responible for babysitting the trippers.

Buttons has also become a slang term for mescaline, peyote, or psilocybin mushroom caps.

PERSON 1 - "John's party last night turned into another game of buttons."

PERSON 2 - "Shit dude, were you trippin' face?"

PERSON 1 - "Na bro, I had to babysit Greg who kept telling me that he was trapped in a glass of water..."

Snooze Button Rage

The deep seeded, bubbling resentment and pure rage the partner on the alarm clock side of the bed who doesn't have to get up yet has for the partner that keeps pleading for the snooze button to be hit "one more time". The snoozing partner invariably manages to sleep in between each snooze push and will be late for work. The alarm clock button pusher will lie there, awake and just waiting for the end of each nine minute interval because they need to hit snooze again. The snoozer feels great. The alarm clock keeper is exhausted, having been on snooze duty for 45 mins instead of sleeping.

Wayne: uhhhhh, too tired to get up, hit snooze again.
Kate: this alarm has been going off for half an hour.
Wayne: what are you on? I've only heard it once, zzzzzz
Kate: I am going to smother you with a pillow and my defense will be Snooze Button Rage.

monkey button

A monkey button is my term for any tool, program, script, thingamajig, that let's you essentially push a button to complete some repetitive task. Simplifying an otherwise complicated task into something any monkey can do. The ultimate monkey button is one that doesn't even require a monkey. It just runs itself, going off at some predetermined interval.

Dude, you can fire spots on both radio stations with this monkey button I made!
