A book written by Lisa Birnbach in 1980 as a tongue-in-cheek guide to preppies. Currently out of print, it details the preppy lifestyle "from toddler to Alumni Fund Raiser". It contains "the look, the pose, the proper accessories. What to wear at What Age. Lilly, Lacoste, and L.L. Bean." Anyone who believes that preppies are those who wear American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, and the like should consult this book to understand what a prep really is. And this book isn't dated considering preppies are classic and do not change their lifestyle as times go on. A highly reliable guide to preps.

Propp

A morpheme that can be used as a root in and of itself, or as an affix (suffix or prefix) replacing that of another word. Depending on the situation at hand, it connotes either of two extremes: the utmost pleasure, joy, excitement, and exuberance, or the most indescribable loathing known to mankind. During normal circumstances, it can be used to place emphasis on words, while conveying no actual meaning.

The preppiest of the prep-schoolers, usually male, who makes a habit of dressing like he/she is straight out of a Ralph Lauren catalogue. Not Abercrombie, not American Eagle, not Hollister, and never ever ever Aeropostale. Ralph Lauren. Usually idendtified by the double pastel Polos, one often pink, the other green or yellow, both collars popped. Also note the ribbon belt and Nantucket red pants. They do not go to public school and will always have more money than you. See also preppy.

Preppy kid: Hey, you popped your collar like me, only you have two and a ribbon belt and Nantucket red pants. You put me to shame.

That Poppy

Poppy is great. Do not be fooled, she is not a cult leader. Her director is Titanic Sinclair. Titanic was formerly part of a band called Mars Argo. That Poppy loves the internet. She posts videos on youtube.com/poppy . She is into pastel fashion, as well as creepy/satanic. She's written a book, called the Gospel of Poppy. Many people think she's a cult leader. She's not. She has an EP, called 'Bubblebath' and a Album, called poppy.computer, which are both on sale on iTunes. She is very adorable and her aesthetic is lovely. You can find more info on her on reddit and at her website, poppy.computer . She is a great alternative to Melanie Martinez. Most people find her videos unsettling and creepy, with her use of background music and repetition of words. Her fanbase, is very similar to a cult. It is not a cult.

(Honestly though her account is just satire, and all her music and videos are just making fun of today's celebrities.)
