the situation that occurs when someone is participating in another activity (exe. walking, talking, working out, etc.) and realizes that they have email, facebook notifications, etc. on their blackberry, and is forced to stop their current activity and respond to multiple forms of communication on their blackberry before returning to their original task.

Look at that idiot stopped in the crosswalk, he pulled out his blackberry, saw his messages, and now is stuck in a blackberry freeze right in the middle of the street.

freeze dried hippie

Normally, a person who seems to be stuck in the past. This person wants to stay in the "good ol' days." This person may also think of himself as appealing to the younger audience. You may spot one once in a while. They usually have a braided pony tail in his gray hair and may wear clothing styles of today.
