Beer Sober

The state of being required to be sober but you still drink beer cause no one will notice. Hard alcohol is banned but less potent beer is allowed to increase functionality and decrease the chance of blackout. Usually imposed at fraternity functions where the rules state that sobriety is require but leadership relaxes those rules.

Bro 1: "Sucks we have to be sober tonight for that function."
Bro 2: "No way man, we just have to beer sober! Here drink this beer!"
Bro 1: "Oh yeah! Sweet!"

LA Sober

Abstaining from drinking alcohol; while still using other drugs. Typically someone who is LA sober will claim sobriety while being completely in denial about their addiction to drugs besides alcohol.

Person 1: Cody is just smoking weed all day in our apartment now that he quit drinking. He's driving me crazy.
Person 2: Yeah he's LA sober now I guess.

Person A: You don't drink?
Person B: Nope, never have. I like being sober; drinking is really bad for you.
Person C: I saw you take three adderalls before we came out tonight you hypocrite, you're LA sober at best.

Cali Sober is defined as a form of Harm Reduction that excludes the use of all drugs including alcohol and only utilizes Marijuana in Moderation.
