recession date

An event in which someone admittedly attracted to you asks you out, under the pretences of friendship. You will attend typically romantic settings and events, such as a candle lit dinner. Usually getting to know each other, with pleasant conversation, acting with good behavior, and dressing to impress, however, there is no expectation and has no obligation to pay for you. If so willing to become physical to the point of intercourse, then they are willing participant, but are still in no way obligated to spend the night, or pay for cab fare home.

John: I’ve like you for a while, you want to go to dinner with me tonight.
Jane: Sure, it’s a date. Pick me up at 7.
John: What? No, this isn’t a date; I just think you’d be a cool friend.
Jane: Oh, okay.
John: But, if you want to come home with me after then I’m up for that to.
Jane: Are you seriously trying to ask me out on a recession date.

Recession Question

A recession question is generally asked by a customer to a business. It is asked to find out if there is a way of saving money with a desired purchase.

Example 1:

Woman (upon entering TGI FRIDAYS): Excuse me, yes, I have a recession question, umm...I saw a commercial on TV sayin' you had menu items starting from $6.99...is that like, ONE item or is it more than that...can I see a menu?

Example 2:

Employee: Welcome to McDonalds, can I take your order?
Woman: Is the fish sandwich still just a dollar this week or...whas' goin on with that?

Example 3:

Employee (answering phone): Thank you for calling Bally Total Fitness, this is Steve, How may I help you?
Caller: Hi, I was wonderin, I heard you can add on a family member for 19 dollars a month...n I mean, like, whatchu mean exactly by family?

Condition resulting from months of doing the work of 4. Exacerbated by repeated taskus interuptus

Your brain is like a shaken lava lamp. Your planning and decision making functions are like those of a squirrel in traffic.

Treatment: If you cannot manage a week on a beach, a quick fix would be to lay on your front lawn in a fetal position for as long as it takes to re-focus.
