A formerly great site, which hosted a wide amount of stories over a broad choice of categories. As of popular opinion, it is currently a shit pile. It has lazy administration, random deletion of awesome stories and leaves the shit ones behind. Does not fulfil it's motto; 'Unleash your imagination and free your soul'.

Guy 1: Hahaha, check this really funny story on FF.net.
Guy 2: Dude, it got deleted.
Guy 1: You serious? Ok, what about this awesome one?
Guy 2: Nope, sorry.
Guy 1: Well... what about that Super Dragon Ball Z With LOTR story?

A website that aspiring writers can use to express their ideas of what can happen in TV shows, movies, books, plays, etc. Unfortunately, about 95% of the website's content is teenage hormone driven porn.

Don't me wrong, I read/write for Fanfiction.net quite often, and if you're patient, you WILL find something good and worth reading. You'll just have to dig through a lot of garbage first.

Fanfiction.net also has a sibling website, Fiction Press, which is for original content.

A fan or group of fans dwelling in the deepest, darkest corners of the internet, coming out only to fixate over a particular person or thing in forums or comments, often times being obsessive and whiny; usually never older than 14, unless medication or a lack there-of for psychosis is involved.

Don't comment on any of the Kingdom Hearts videos to dis a character because you WILL get into a flame war with one of that character's fanlings.
