Alma Cogan

Alma Cogan (19 May 1932 – 26 October 1966) was an English singer of traditional pop music in the 1950s and early 1960s. Dubbed "The Girl With the Laugh / Giggle / Chuckle In Her Voice", she was the highest paid British female entertainer of her era. Throughout the mid 1950s, she was the most consistently successful female singer in the UK.

cogan

1. Something which relates to the use of extremely intricate and repetitive gestures; mainly, facial expressions.

2. The use of long pauses during speech followed by the use of SAT vocabulary words. To cogan a speech, for example, is to pause many times during that speech and make effort to include substantial vocabulary after such pauses.

"You were so cogan when you clapped your hands together like that on the desk."
"Thanks!"
