They use their strong beliefs in an ideal future work to move society towards a defined goal, only to over shoot it and begin to regress through more extreme views until hardly distinguishable from those who they initially blamed. This results in fracturing of the fundamental ideas that started the movement, as to alienate people formally for the cause and to push away others due to the increase of rhetoric.
I used to believe in this cause, but due to regressive activism, I no longer align with their views.

Apathetic is the opposite of politically active, so calling somebody who doesn't vote politically active and apathetic is like calling a house cheap and expensive.

-exclusively communicated in either English or franco when most Egyptians only speak Arabic,
-political ideals and demands that are completely disconnected from the cultural and political contexts of Egypt,
-political ideals and demands that are actually just straight up deranged,
-very shallow and ambiguous ideals and demands,
-happens to be almost always photocopied from Western twitter without even so much of an attempt to rediscover a more appropriate approach for the context they exist in,
-has no idea how to solve a problem, isn't even trying to solve a problem, just wants to be a "part of something bigger",
-desperate attempts to turn every single inconvenience into a social or political issue,
-usually practiced by very young people.
