The act of accusing your enemies, rivals and opponents of doing exactly what you just did. It is simultaneously a form of self-comfort and self-deception. It is also a blame deflection strategy, since you opponents will feel ridiculous if they accuse you of what you just accused them of doing.
Outgoing POTUS: "My opponent just tried to steal the election!"
Incoming POTUS: "Are you trumping me? That was you on January 6th."
Previous POTUS: "The White House is weaponizing the DoJ to try to stop me from becoming President."
White House: "Please stop trumping about that. You already got impeached for doing the exact same thing."
Previous POTUS with 91 felony charges: "These charges are just a witch hunt to try to prevent me from exercising my Constitutional right to run for office and win bigly."
Everyone: "You are just trumping. The Constitution says you are ineligible to hold office ever again after you violated your oath of office and staged an attempted coup after losing an election. The 91 felonies are just the inevitable consequence of your conduct."
