When the students of howard county refer to their B or eve low A as a failing grade. When a student of hoco says they received a failing grade, assume they mean a B unless they say specifically that they "legit failed".

Fail Mix

A significantly less-healthy snack substitute for trail mix, first popularized among Seattle-area hipsters who like to hike but also prefer drinking coffee, getting stoned, and not being rained on. Most fail mix contains higher proportions of gummies, chocolate, candies, or caramel corn than would actually be beneficial for backpacking. Fail mix may occasionally lack nuts and granola all together.

Heather: "Hey hand me some of that fail mix, I've got the munchies!"
Rick: "Sorry, I already picked out most of the Swedish Fish. Were we actually gonna go hiking?"

This is not a new term, but a new use for an existing one.

Fail Mail: When a user's email gets stuck in their Outbox and refuses to be sent, for any reason.

John found out why Julia had not received his invitation. There it was, stuck in his Outbox. His beautifully written, sweet, sincere invitation to the girl of his dreams had turned into fail mail.

Epic Fail

A naive, lame and immature 16 year old with an ego bigger than Mt. Everest! Tries to act cute and bubbly towards people but is very judgemental and hates on people whom she's never met (in which, she tries to create drama with them via Facebook instead of up front to their face) Also has been known to ruin friendships between best friends by kissing ass to one and rejecting the other, thus resulting in more drama. Has a boyfriend who looks like a mole and creates terrible AMV's.

Person 1: this bitch who i've never even met who is friends with my best friend keeps trying to start shit with me, on facebook!
Person 2: sounds like you have an Epic Fail on your case

Shuffle Fail

When you put your iPod (or some other type of mp3) on shuffle, and it plays some songs by the same artist at least 2 times in a row. Or if the songs start playing in Alphabetical Order after the device is put on shuffle.

I went to the party to hear some great music, but Bill's iPod had a Shuffle Fail, so everyone got tortured and had to listen to Lady Gaga for 3 hours straight. It was horrible.
