Fair weather friend

A friend who only calls, texts, or hangs out when it suits them on their terms. They require everyone to be flexible around their last minute plans. In most cases, this friend will then cancel the plans all together because it doesn’t suit them- citing a last minute “pop up.” Never returns calls, texts, or face times.

Tyler’s friends genuinely enjoy his company. But as a fair weather friend- Tyler rarely actually follows through on returning calls, texts, face-times, or lunch dates. Usually he will claim some last minute “thing” was going on- but everyone knows its because he never wanted to hang out in the first place.

BOSSES WEATHER

A superstitious term used by Australian tradesmen to describe supposedly rainy weather predicted by forecast that is highly inaccurate. Favoured by trade bosses.

Tyler: Wasn't it 100% chance of rain at 10am? Not even a cloud in the sky! Now the forecast pushed the rain back to 3pm! I was keen to not do any bricklaying today...

Someone who obsessively checks the weather and recites weather reports at any chance they get. They may become irritated or upset when the weather does not end up as they expected.

Weather Whore: "It sucks you wore flip flops today because it is going to rain!"
