New Economy

1. An imaginary economic system that will magically replace millions of jobs lost to outsourcing, downsizing and low-wage overseas competition.

2. A feel-good term used by politicians to distract attention from their own immense policy failures.

3. Something that's always "just around the corner" if we only "do the right things."

Michigan's governor said we must prepare for the New Economy by turning 400,000 unemployed auto workers into video game programmers and pastry chefs. That's the ticket!

New York slice

A large triangular slice of a New York style pizza. Due to it's size you need to fold it in half while eating, in order to prevent it from flopping.

Usually compared to Chicago style pizza, despite the fact the two are in no way comparable.

NEETbux

NEETbux refers to a form of social welfare (e.g. unemployement, social security), given to NEETs. A NEET is a sociological term which refers to those "not in education, employment, or training). It is a satirical term, often using on internet forums such as 4chan and reddit.

Im going downtown to pick up some NEETbux today.

I've been living in my mom's basement for the past 5 years, I think its time to me some NEETbux.

Where admissions officers scour the globe, round up the most radical/artistic/generally eccentric people they can find, and bring them to Greenwich Village to earn degrees.

Legendary for the disproportionately high number of famous writers, artists, and musicians it has produced.

For public safety, the university really should have a sign in front of it reading: "Abandon all hope, ye conservatives who enter here." It's just not right to deny people of a fair warning.
