Die Entscheidung die Gruppe "Cribboys" zu taufen kam durch einen Discord-Server mit dem Namen "CRIB" zustande, auf welchem die Gruppe unter anderem den Corona-Lockdown von 2020 aussaß. Darüber hinaus hängen sie oft auf diesem Server ab.
