Chiggo

A word that my children made up as a derogatory term for any people who live in Chicago, rather than call them a Chicagoan. It was done from a humorous standpoint, as we live near Chicago.

"Look at all these Chiggos!" (referring to when you're in Chicago)

"Wait, are you a Chiggo?" (referring to a friend online you find out is from Chicago)

For those of you wondering about what Chigaroogarem means, I can explain very easily because I grew up an aggie fan. My big brother (who was a Texas fan) explained that Chigaroogarem was a secret aggie word that the aggies (farmers) used to explain that their rural lifestyle left them with chiggers in their rumps all the time. They are always doing things like grabbing their gonads and shit, so it stands to reason they get chiggers down there too. The actual secret words to the song are:

“The eyes of Texas are upon you . . .”
That is the song they sing so well
As for the dear old texas aggies,
They are the ones with all the chiggers in their rumps
Chiggers in their rumps,
Rough bumps, red bumps, Texas A&M!

Chigaroogarem is a secret word meaning farmers suffer from chiggers in their rumps. Other secret words are Hullabaloo caneck caneck, but we will go into that one later.
