Doug Rattman

Doug Rattman is the middle-man in the Portal series made by Valve.
He saves her in the 2nd game, putting her on backup power in the Relaxation Annex (where you wake up in Portal 2).
He also wrote those little scribbles on the wall, telling Chell (The main character in the portal series) that the cake, in fact, is a lie.

Ratman

Something, most likely a conversation or an interest in something, that is killed instantly with a single stupid or insanly dull comment. Instead of saying "The conversation has been killed dead", you would say "The conversation has been Ratman'd".
