status psychology

When a person is too cheap to actually pay a psychologist for help and would rather put all their issues in their facebook status and hope that their cry for attention will solicit the advice of their friends who are no better equipped to help them than a three day old bowl of pudding.
This is a status on Facebook:

Mary Smith is ALL men suck. Why can't one man keep his word. Oh well, I guess I will be single forever.

This is a response from one of her friends:

Enough with the status psychology session, Mary. Stop whining on facebook and deal with it you whiny bitch!

political-suicide psychology

An act common to politicians with sociopathic, narcissistic and self-deceptive personality features fueled by a profoundly self-aggrandizing perspective that distorts even the prospect of failure into a necessary superlative; resulting in highly self-destructive behavior as required to validate equally delusional thinking.
Press: 'Did you ever think that the only people saving you from impeachment would be your own staff--for FAILING to follow your orders?'
POTUS: 'Listen. Nobody knows more about failing than I do, believe me. I'm the best at failing, just ask anyone; I'm the greatest at failing that's ever lived and I'm going to prove it...'

History: Does he ever actually listen to the crazy shit that comes out of his hole? Isn't it the objective to make decisions and policy using unbiased, verifiable evidence and in accordance with established governmental procedures within the Constitutional framework? Only the influence of political-suicide psychology could be responsible for such a distorted perspective of reality...we need to do better.

psychological projection

1. Projection is the psychological phenomenon where someone thinks everyone else is doing and thinking what they are. It is usually seen as the externalisation of a person's negative traits, placing blame on an outside force such as the environment, a government, a society or other people.
2. Projection can also extend to philosophy and knowledge. This occurs when a person or small group of people assume that everyone else is working with the same ideas and/or information that they are. When this fails to happen, however, it can lead to pluralistic ignorance. A telltale sign of this is when a speaker says that "Everybody knows that...(a certain course of action)" is either beneficial or harmful, so society should avoid an impending catastrophe by following the course of action that the speaker proposes.
3. Another common forum for projection is in internet arguments, where it is usually pathetically obvious to everyone except the projector. The problem is recognized in intelligence analysis, in the form of cognitive traps for intelligence analysis.
Psychological Projection:
-An adulterous husband may think his wife is sleeping around.
-Creationists assert that supporters of evolution are religious zealots, and religious (especially Christian) fanatics assert that atheism is a religion.
-Self-proclaimed 'Ex-homosexuals' may state that all gays are empty, sinful shells of human beings that need repairing so they can be good, God-fearing straights.
-Racists who claim that anyone who criticises them must also be racially prejudiced.
-Swinkin' it.
