Why do half the people on here not know how to spell Manhattan?

The proper noun "Manhattan" does not contain the letter "e."
Let's take a closer look: M-A-N-H-A-T-T-A-N.
Did you see an "e" there? No, you didn't! ...because it's not fucking supposed to be there.

Manhattan: good
Manhatten: bad

Brooklen? Statin? Kweens? Broncks?

I'm embarrassed that so many people that are supposedly New Yorkers do not know how to spell Manhattan.

When a cab that you hailed pulls to the side about 5 feet in front of where you are standing, and a woman who was standing behind you shuffles in front of you, opens the door, looks at you, shrugs, gets in, and closes the door, you got "New Yorked."

Home of Broadway theatre, home of the best pizza(NY style) in the world, home of the best franks(Nathans and Papiaya)in the world, also the place where the term 'Hot Dog' was coined, birth place of the potato chip(Saratoga ,NY),the media capital of the world, business capital of the world, largest department store in the world(Macy's 34th st.),Birth place of Hip Hop culture, one of the fashion capital of the world, home of the largest and greatest subway system in the world along with the 1st in the country. And home of the greatest and most successful team in sports(NY Yankees).
