From Amazing Grace to A Floating Opportunity

An old Southern term an African-American mother uses to describe an long and sometimes well deserved, ass-whooping in order to warn her child, or others who cross her. This African-American saying, used as a motherly warning, first popped up in the 1930 play Mule Bone by Langston Hughes and Zora Neale Hurston.
“You’d better behave, or I’ll knock you from amazing grace to a floating opportunity!”

Amazing Person

Anyone who writes a specific name for someone to search up and when they do they see something positive about them.

Amazing Baby

When the success of a person or organization is disproportionate to their talent, or the quality of their work.

When fame outweighs talent.
The band we saw last night was a total amazing baby, they drew a large crowd but their music was awful.

Despite the movie's high budget it was a complete amazing baby, receiving poor reviews from dissatisfied viewers.

Something that is so wonderful, it is hard to find the words to match. Something that makes your heart beat faster or your heart melt. Something that tops everything else, and always crosses your mind.
Everything Alex is and does is amazing to me.

Something Amazing

Something great but not quite perfect. The flaws of something amazing tend to be overlooked.

amazing grace

When you haven’t been as religious as you were and should be but the lord shows you he loves you anyway, by helping you out with the struggles of life, such as getting an assignment turned in on time after procrastinating or being able to get up enough money to repair your ride.
Nick: Hey dawg, you get those financial ratios done?

Me: yeah man...

Nick: Damn, how did you do it?

Me: amazing grace, idk how else to put it
