Sponger

A term for someone who constantly asks others for financial support. Traced back to Germany in the early 1900's as a slur against Jewish people and their relationship with finances and the economy and has had a large resurgence in New York in recent years as an anti-semitic term.

Splunger

A person who 'scrapes' into a conversation and then, through poor communication skills and bad jokes, completely kills the conversation. They splunge it.

connor- yeah my dog ate the sick
