Portmanteau for Rich Hipster. These are the kinds of people who are both rich or at least very well-off and display hipster behavior and/or interests. They may display a high-and-mighty, upper-crust snootiness or elitism known from many high-class rich people while also displaying the ironic, sarcastic, and quirky, nonconforming, unconventional interests and/or behavior of hipsters. They may regularly dress in fancy clothes that cost tons of money (tuxedos, long dresses with fancy jewelry, etc.) but also have a raggedy sort of unkempt, old-fashioned or unconventional style to compliment it in some way. They may listen to obscure, avant-garde orchestral music on a gramophone record player while sipping expensive wine, craft or not.
Person 1: Did you see Ben and Jeanine yesterday? They came strolling through like people should pay them respects even though they never had to work a day in their life, all the while complaining about the latest fashion trends and how unoriginal and "normal" it is.
