Pickering Taxi

Slang for a Hearse. The term was coined in reference to Pickering in North Yorkshire.

Due to the town's aging population the death rate appears abnormally high and as such students will frequently see "pickering taxis" driving around the streets on their lunch break.

Pickering is so full of old people every other vehicle is a pickering taxi.

Pickering

Pickering is without a doubt the crappest little town on earth. It's full of small minded little dings who constantly drive around town in their crap cars listening to 'chooons' and constantly flock to the scabbiest pubs ie the Lettered Board and The Station. No one ever ventures out of this shit hole so all their lives revolve around who's doing what and are plagued with jealousy of every one else.

Free-Pileing

Adj. The act of searching through a room that houses miscellaneous unwanted items in order to find something for yourself. Originating in the Berkeley Cooperative System, the term specifically refers to hunting through the "free pile room" where old co-opers leave their unwanted items to avoid clutter in the moving process.

"Sweet, I just found a pair of mannequin legs while free-pileing that I can put in my room!"

"I need a costume for the co-op party. Time to go free-pileing!"
