Hood Run

1) Driving around the hood while smoking marijuana. Normally this option is reserved 'til you don't have enough gas for a country run. Nearly identical to a country run in every way. Normally there is more care given to pig spotting, or looking for police officers. A common rule in the hood run is S.T.O.P. or Stop Toking On Pot (when stopped).

PERSON1: Wanna go on a country run?
PERSON2: No gas...
PERSON 1: What?? You're gay...!
PERSON2: Let's just do a hood run instead.

Hood Adjacent

a person who grew up in a hood-neighborhood and/or around hood activity, but did not grow up in a hood household in the hood-neighborhood, and does not exude hood characteristics. This person is familiar with the hood, feels a special closeness to it, and loves participating in hood activities when invited.

These people are sometimes perceived as stuck-up or bourgeois, but were more than likely sheltered, and proud to associated with their neighborhood.

Nah she not hood… she “hood adjacent”… she grew up in our hood, rode the school bus with us and all, but she couldn’t hang with us like that.
