They spend most of their time either A) Straight lining every course (they'll fall almost every time) or B) Bragging about how they straight lined a course, even though they looked like a complete idiot doing it. They are known for their large gap between their goggles and hat/helmet. Other signs of gapers include: Cutting in front of other skiers and snowboarders (possibly causing crashes), gaper tucks, rental gear, yard sales, and any other form of trying to copy a racer.
Gaper: "Dude, did you see me speed down that run? The only reason I fell was 'cause I caught my edge on an ice patch."
Skier: "Yeah, I did see you, your such a gaper!"
