1. a boat that went aground in the Suez canal during the COVID-19 crisis in 2021.
2. any overlarge, over-built, or absurdly huge thing offered as a solution to a problem that has already been more-or-less adequately solved. Ever Givens lead to further new problems because of their poor conception.
3. a person with a bloated ego, especially a person with a currently ballooning ego, who thinks that he/she/it (it could be AI or an android (see HAL 9000 in "2001: A Space Odyssey")) can solve any problem or is potentially infallible.

The Ever Given (1) was an Ever Given (2), piloted, steered, and captained by a bunch of Ever Givens (3).
