Word

"Word" is the shortened form of the phrase: "my word is my bond" which was originated by inmates in U.S. prisons. The longer phrase was shortened to "word is bond" before becoming "word," which is most commonly used. It basically means "truth." Or "to speak the truth."

A statement regarding some ambiguous or undefined aspect of a work, the Word of God comes from someone considered to be the ultimate authority, such as the creator, director, writer or producer of a TV show / video game / film / etc.

urban word

a word one uses that is not an actual English defined/recognized word, but according to Urban Dictionary, is legit.
I don't understand kids these days & their lack of properly defined vocabulary... but I keep hearing each is an urban word, therefore, totally acceptable. I feel so old.
