A legal entitlement which sometimes attaches to the expressed form of an idea, or to some other abstract subject matter. This reflects that the idea is a product of one's mind or intellect, and that property rights can be applied to these ideas and that they may be protected by law in the same way as any other form of property.

John's idea to promote reality television became his own interlectual property and will earn him substantial royalties from here on out.

pseudo-intellectual

Derogatory term aimed at people giving information, and sometimes misinformation, without the credentials to do so. These people often type as if they are scientists, blindly citing wikipedia.

X: You're retarded so who cares about your opininon, Y.
Y: According to wikipedia, and I cite, that is an argumentum ad hominem, or a logical fallacy attempting to link the validity of a premise to a characteristic or belief of the opponent advocating the premise.
X: Stop being a pseudo-intellectual.

Attractive but stupid and morally bankrupt women like Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, and Anne Coulter, who work for the Republican and Tea Parties making unjustice sound just.

You could call Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh "intellectual prostitutes" but that would demean decent, hard working gigolos and male hookers.
