cynical

Apparently someone who doesn't wish to be disappointed. But if they see the worst in everything, how can they be pleasently suprised? I don't get cynicism. My 'cynical' friend said she doesn't believe in love. But if you are that adamant something doesn't exist, then you'll never find it! Life is about romance and excitement, and it's all there if you keep your chin up and seek it. I know bad things happen, but they happen to everyone. When you allow yourself to dwell on them, this is when you become a cynic.

Cynic

Someone who believes themselves to be incredibly intelligent and enlightened, when, in fact, they're just like anyone else. Usually lacks confidence in humans as a species to seem more edgy or intelligent.

Generally believe that no one has any passion for anything, or is willing to do something out of the kindness of their heart.

Not to be confused with a skeptic. Cynics usually just bitch and moan about a problem, as opposed to trying to find a solution.

Cynic: How can you enjoy life, man. Or that food? It's just some corporation trying to profit off your enjoyment.
