Shmuckputz

A smuckputz is a worthless human being that is foolish at the same time, but has an ego ignorant to the fact that they are not valued by others.

So this guy gets hit in the head with a sledgehammer because he was a shmuckputz, wronged someone and didn't know he had it coming. I guess that's more than joshing someone.
