bolton wanderers

a small town football team punching way above its weight. bolton wanderers have a small but passionate band of followers and tend to be disliked by the media, fans of other clubs etc for the reason that over there time in the english premier league they have taken a scalp of one of these teams and/or knocked them out of cup competitions. known as 'long ball merchants' they have a tendancy to play football that gets 'in the face' of there opponents and consecuently stops them playing 'propper football' as the media call it. basicaly they are looked at as a small club that dosent belong in the premership - this only started when the beloved media sweetheart west ham was relegated at the reebok stadium in the 2001/2 season. the media still try to call them a small club even after 2 european tours (the second was the last 16 only getting knocked out on away goals by sporting lisbon following a 2-2 draw with byern munich) a league cup final, 2 FA cup semis and beating lyon every year in the peace cup final.

look at burnley, they think they are a bolton. like bolton wanderers

button-basher

1. Someone who randomly or vigorously presses or 'bashes' buttons, especially those of video game controllers. See: button-bashing.

2. A video game where the gameplay descends into the mindless random, or repeated, pressing of a button or buttons. See: button-bashing.

3. A fighting (video) game, such as Virtua Fighter, Soulcalibur or Tekken, etc.

"I'm not playing Tekken with you because it's just a mindless button-basher. Plus, you're gay."

Buttongate

Jenson Button's contract saga in 2004/2005. Button signed a contract to drive for Williams in 2005, despite having a contract with BAR for 2005. A giant legal battle followed, to determine who Button would drive for in 2005. This became known as Buttongate I.

Button wanted to remain with BAR for 2006. However, in the summer of 2004, Button signed a contract with Williams to drive from 2006 onwards. Another legal battle began. This became known as Buttongate II.

Todd is totally a buttonsmasher...that's the only way he can beat me in Tekken. This is also why he sucks at WoW.

Repeatedly pressing the elevator button as if doing so will make the elevator come sooner.

Observer: "You seem to think that pressing the elevator button again and again will make the elevator come more quickly. It won't. You're button clitting, and its a total waste of energy."

verb. To end an incoming call on the cell phone by pressing the red button. Used when trying to block out an annoying caller.

I had to red button the guy that called me six times in a row at the movie, how annoying!
