Havertown

A city in located in suburban Philadelphia in Haverford Township, Delaware County. It has the privilege of being surrounded on three sides by the affluent towns of Broomall, Ardmore, and Haverford and the curse of butting up against Upper Darby on the fourth. The school district is excellent, and the neighborhoods are safe. The Main Line is a stone's throw away, which gives you access to all it has to offer: schools, first-class shopping, bike trails, etc. On the down side, Havertown is full of soccer moms who won't think twice about blocking the aisle in Super Fresh and refusing to let you pass, cutting you off in traffic, or stealing your primo parking spot at the Manoa Shopping Center. Their husbands are terrors, too, who will try to run you down at crosswalks with their Beamers and get mouthy if you hold up the line at the bank or the supermarket. Havertown kids are loud and rude and think they're gangsta when they're not. The cops are lazy but have plenty of energy to secret themselves in the dark recesses of the Swell Bubble Gum parking lot every Saturday night in the hope of nailing speeders. Havertown has lots of Havertrash, people who had to settle for Havertown because they couldn't quite afford that McMansion on the Main Line; as a result, their attitudes are foul and they take their disappointment out on those around them.

We moved to Havertown because the Main Line was too expensive.

Phrase. When bad situations seem alright, because the person is so stupid they don't realize the consequences or degree of shittyness... just like Homer Simpson.

If you're broke, have a shit job, no girlfriend, had your car towed, are getting evicted and still think the situation is just fine... you may be suffering from the Homer Simpson effect. If you also failed grade 9, the probability of this increases dramatically.

a town where everyone thinks they are the shit. the town overall is decent..the people however are another story. with the exception of the white people everyone thinks their mad ghetto and hood wen the town really isnt..haverhill is not lawrence it is not boston...its haverhill...and the girls hate on other girls during the process of taking boys from other girls...also home of the girl fights it is highly probable to see small white grls kicking the shit out of people

haverford

A township in Delaware county ("DELCO") Pennsylvania. Haverford is part of the "Main line" in the Philadelphia subburbs. Main roads include Darby Road, West Chester Pike (PA Route 3), Township line (US Route 1)(borders Upper Darby Township), Haverford road, Eagle road, Ardmore Ave, Manoa road, and Earlington ave. I-476 runs briefly into haverford but the West Chester Pike exit is just over the township's border in Marple Township. There is no way to get onto I-476 from with in Haverford township. Haverford is also home to the Grange estate and Haverford College. Haverford has several creeks including Naylor's run, Darby creek, and Cobbs Creek.

Haverford township is a nice quiet place to live. Did you know Haverford college is off of Haverford Road?
