Usually on Xbox 360, is a way gamers use to obtain several achievements in a short period of time by using teamwork, glitching, or whatever means necessary to accomplish diffcult achievement criteria.

friend1: Man i need at least 1000 kills on this game for the achievement but its taking too long, what should we do?

friend2: Easy! We can invite all of my friends to join a match. They can just sit there while u kill them over and over for easy kills!

friend1: So you mean boosting?

friend2: Yup my friends have all the achievements anyway!

signal boost

Spreading the word, or 'raising awareness' of an issue without actually doing anything useful (like, say, donating money). Popularly employed on Tumblr by image-conscious bloggers who want to look like they care deeply about a cause or issue, while they try to avoid investing any time, money or effort into said cause.

A Tumblr slacktivist reads a blog post from another Tumblr user who doesn't have enough money to pay rent and is shamelessly groveling for money on the internet.

Tumblr blogger: "Reblogging this is as good as giving money, right? I'll just tag it 'signal boost' so everyone knows how much I care about raising awareness and helping others."

Boosties

The word 'Boosties' is the name given to a pair of shoes, in particular, the adidas ultra boost. However, this can be applied to whatever shoe you feel deserves the name 'Boostie'. It can also be used to describe how you are feeling. The opposite of feeling 'dusty' is to feel 'Boostie' which is like the feeling of opening a new pair of shoes.

Owen: " I really like these boosties I bought yesterday, I think they're really good at being boosties. "
Joe: " I need to get myself a pair because I've been feeling dusty lately"
