Hoorag

An article of clothing used as an acessory to the modern day bowfisher to help them from sucking in bugs as they breathe. Most people who wear these bandana like pieces are better known as mouthbreathers and it is to be expected for them to group together and try to appear stronger than normal when provoked into "Defense" mode.

Little Tommy thought that he needed to wear a Hoorag to prevent bugs from entering his mouth while bowfishing. Once his daddy slapped him in the mouth and his lips swole shut, he soon realized that this was a silly marketing ploy to help some nobody try and be a somebody.

Hoorah

The first powerful and energetic "hoorah" was stated by Laterrian. He is black. This term is used to pump up the confidence and to give a boost to the men chanting it. Usually used by men, but some women who are found to be homosexual, will steal the catchphrase from the guys. Usually chanted from a single guy, and myriad men chant it back in a louder fashion.

Defined appropriately in previous posts. The proper spelling is HUA not Hooah which is another acronym for Head Up Ass. The nicer definitions are used when explaining what you mean to someone senior in rank to you.

I heard the story of its origin from a retired Vietnam era Special Forces guy in 1990 who heard it from a Korean War guy in the 1960's. Similar story about being ordered to take an objective (hill top in Korea) during the din of battle and the response was a mis-heard "who us?".

1SG (First Sergeant, the senior non-commissioned officer in a company) - "There has been a change to the training schedule"

PSG (Platoon Sergeant) - "HUA!!"(you could add SNAFU to that)
