when a fake status is published on facebook to create an idea to the online community that you're doing something that you're actually not.
it's typically used to further and backup a lie told
to a parent/significant other/ friend or even enemy.

i need to update a fakebook status so my mom
doesn't catch me at this party.

My girlfriend thinks I'm with my grandma so i posted a fakebook status to confirm it.. I hope she doesn't find out I'm really getting her a surprise bday present.

A DJ who could be replaced with an iPod. They have all the usual equipment and play gigs in cheap bars. Usually playing tracks recorded by other artists adding no value what so ever.

This guy is a fake dj, his hands have been in his pockets the whole time. What a bullshit artist, let's go somewhere else.

fake colombian

Someone with Colombian heritage but was born in the US. Will wear the countries colors but does not know the history nor meaning. 60% of their wardrobe is Colombia apparel. Will not know what chipi chipi is.

Your friend can't go out because they're "broke". A day later they're posting pictures of their new fancy vacuum* ("vacuum" being a metaphor for anything valuable). You are in point of fact not broke but instead, a fake-broke busta.
