Soccer Accent

The tendency to speak with an accent while commenting or cheering during a soccer game. This accent usually resembles a British one, but it is usually not intentional.

Joe: (in soccer accent) What a goal!

Tim: Why are you talking with a British accent?
Joe: Sorry, that was my soccer accent. I was carried away with the game.

Microwave Society

The mindset of wanting (and nearly getting) everything "RIGHT NOW". Technology has made gathering or sending information extremely fast and we've begun to think that everything in life should be available on demand.

The postal service is struggling because everyone wants their information right now. Letters are out, emails are in. We want our information NOW. Microwaves cook foods faster, our society wants everything faster. We are a Microwave Society.

Often used by introverts to describe their anxiety of having to interact with large crowds.

I couldn't stay at the event for more than 20 minutes because my social battery dies quickly.

A term used in the seduction world; it is the act of being seen in the field with other women. This concept can also take on other forms of display such as, entertaining groups of people, being the life of the party, making people laugh..etc. This type of social evidence gives the player a perceived higher social value in the eyes of other females.

Soccer Mom

Usually rich or upper middle class white women. Married to husbands that have no role in raising their children and leave that to them. They tend to drive mini vans or large SUVS. They have no other role then to drive kids to private school, soccer practice, violen lessons, drama class, yoga for kids, summer camp and the mall. They can be easily spoted with the "my kid is honor student" bumper sticker and four kids jumping around. Mother is always on the cell phone and in the process cuts people off.

They are loud and annoying at games because they think they know more than the coach.

Soccer Mom - Why isn't my little Kevin playing?

Coach - Because your kid sucks at soccer

Soccer Mom - Kevin is going to be the next David Beckham, you just watch.

Coach - Whatever bitch, step off of the field.

Social Libertarian

A social libertarian is a person who believes in social liberty, i.e., individual independence and communal autonomy from overarching government or state control.

A social libertarian typically rejects the concentration of decision-making authority into distant, oligarchical, centralized bureaucracies - federal or monolithic - favoring instead the diffusion and localization of that decision-making authority.

Social libertarians support a political, social, and economic environment which allows voluntary accession to associations, but also permits a person to choose to remain free of restraint by society, except in cases in which an individual's claim of freedom interferes with another individual's right to be free from unwarranted, aggressive coercion or harm.

Social libertarians regard free-market capitalism and democratic, communalistic socialism as equally conducive economic means towards the ends of generalistic liberation from tyranny.

Murray Bookchin's support of decentralized, non-hierarchical communal autonomy, coupled with a belief in individual liberty, indicates that he and his adherents are social libertarians.
