1. A combination of horrible and awful used to describe extremely tenuous situations, especially situations that may lead to gruesome life or death outcomes.

2. Describing something that is particularly bleak where there is presumably no escape.

First popularized by Cinepals YouTube creators Jaby and Achara.

This is horriful! The spaceship is running out of oxygen, the alien is loose, escape pods are not working, and the captain is dead. Chances are we are not going to make it off of this spaceship alive.
