Runescape

An online game that is highly addictive, i started around the end of 2004 start of 2005 and played on and off till mid 2009 (mainly on), whilst playing the game you feel you are benefiting, but honestly and i feel it now i deeply regret playing it, i having nothing to show for how long i played, and it kills me to even imagine how long i wasted on it, yes i can reminisce about it but at the end of the day you really dont benefit from it, if you can manage your time well and are self disciplined i do recommend it..but this game will take over large chunks of your life.
it kind of hit home how it kind of made me fall behind when we had family friends over once, they were saying how their sons and daughters (who were my age), were going on to great things and that they are high achievers, at that moment i realised deep down with a horrible gut feeling runescape was the reason i had gone downhill and hadnt lived life to the full, at that time i was 16-17 when this hit home, i am now 18 hoping to go to uni, with a long way to go yet to catch these people up i can say i am on route and that it is never too late to stop playing, i feel with me and other people it takes its natural course to boar you to stop playing it, but lastly it also makes you totally lose touch with reality and i found my self thinking about it at school alot
family friend: so what have you done this summer then?
me: i completed monkey madness in one day on runescape!!!!

runescape

The single most addictive thing that exists or ever will exist.

Somehow, despite being so incompetent that they have a worse support team than EA (which goes against the laws of physics). JaGex have managed to make a game in which swinging an ugly-ass axe at an ugly-ass tree releases enough dopamine into the human brain to turn a healthy, happy human being with friends into a mindless zombie that only wants to play Runescape. The effect is even more devastating on young children. Chuck Norris himself, if exposed to runescape would struggle to resist it's mind destroying, soul crushing addictiveness.

It requires at least 562 Nonillion times more willpower to quit runescape than it does to quit cigarretes, and at least 789 Quattuortrigintillion times as much as that to quit it forever. Someone who can quit runescape and not play it ever again could go through an eternity of the most brutal torture, and upon it ending they would go home and carry on as normal.

The only way someone can stop playing runescape (aside from having an inconceivable amount of willpower) is if their computer breaks down for an extended period, or anything else that will completely prevent them from playing runescape, like a coma, or death.

If someone who plays runescape passes into a coma they will never wake up, as they will just dream of playing runescape, drowing out any attempt to revive them with the monotonous sound of a rune pickaxe striking a rock.

In short, don't play runescape.
Person 1: Hey wanna play Runescape?
Person 2: Wait, you play Runescape?
Person 1: Yeah, so what?
Person 2: Umm.... wanna go play outside instead?
Person 1: What is outside?

runescape

The game with the capability of consuming your soul into to a never-ending torture of being called a noob, getting owned in Wildy, and failing History class because when your homework asked you "Who assassinated Abraham Lincoln?" you answered "Zezima with an abby whip and a rune defender".

Runescape has socially killed more people than Hitler, Saddam Hussein, and Genghis Khan combined.
Brian: Hey, I'm going PK'ing tonight on Runescape. Want to join?

Stan: No way, ever since I stopped playing homework, I've actually been able to leave my room and inhale fresh air.
You hear that Brian?? FRESH AIR!!

The Runescape Chaos Theory

The game by the name of Runescape is becoming ever so popular these days, but there are lots of people who chose to hate it aswell. While the controversy is heating up more and more, there might be a solution that could turn the tides. With the third generation of game consoles on the market, there are new possibilities.
Since Runescape is an MMORPG, anybody can play and everyone can play at the same time. With online play becoming the biggest thing since iPods, Runescape might just have a shot at targeting the whole community.
There are three new systems on the market, listed in order of capability and power: the sony playstation 3, the xbox 360, and the nintendo Wii. If Jagex could create a universal program that would allow a person with any of these new systems to play runescape on their system together, regardless of power(eg, xbox players can play agains/with Wii players), some interesting things might happen.
The basic idea of the theory is that the mmorpg is ported up to the more powerful consoles. This allows for a much more complex battle system, aswell as much more in depth gameplay. All complaints about the game could easily be solved with the port up.
The major complaints about the game are of the combat system or of the graphics. While grahpics could easily be achieved, a combat system would be the major part of the ugprade. Players could fight on equal grounds and not have to rely on luck or one level differences, which would bring back a lot of the quitters.
By default, rpgs are all about stat building and unlocking secrets and stories, etc. But in runescape, stat building is often halted by overcrowding, usually with one person hogging all the resources in one area. This makes leveling up almost impossible. This could easily be solved via a single player mode that is played on the console rather than a server, like any other rpg.
And the one thing that 99% of people will agree on is that once you get to higher levels, it takes impractical amounts of time to get so little experience. The best example is the mining skill. In alomst any rpg, the higher a skill is, the faster and easier you can do things, while unlocking more capabilities. In runescape, the player can be forty levels higher than the requesite level, which should normally make that skill happen very fast, but in this case, the player can wait for long periods of time for a single ore. This could also be easily solved by using personal skills involving minigames or actually using combos to gather ores faster and more practically.
Players will be able to port their original characters onto their console and manage their accounts.
Another thing that might seem totally wild, but very practical would be for runescape players to create their own runescape world by buying different pieces of environment for different amounts of money.
All of this is hypothetical and theorized, but could be put into effect with some persuasion of jagex hasn't already thought of it already.
The Runescape Chaos Theory could be the next biggest thing since the wheel.

Runescape player

A Runescape player is simply someone who plays Runescape, a game created by Jagex. The players ages range from about 13-42 year olds. If you play or ever play Runescape, I recommend not helping players, EVER. If you help a person find a town, give them some item(s), help them or a quest, etc., there's about a 50% (plus 1% for every level below 50) chance this person will add you as a friend and bug you constantly for free items, quest help, or money.

If someone asks for help, it's best to just say "Sorry, I no english speak" or something similar.
Runescape player: Hey u.
You: What?
Runescape player: Can u take me 2 fally im lost.
You: Sure, I guess.
*Four minutes later*
You: Here we are.
Runescape player: Ty
You: Yw
*Two days later*
Runescape player: Can u get me free rune armor?
You: FUCK YOU!
