Nonsequence

A punishment so pathetic that it does nothing to make up for the original crime or action. Often seen in the criminal justice system when powerful or famous individuals have been acquitted for actions which would see a normal person put away.
Person 1: Did you see Celebrity X was only given community service for fraud and tax evasion?
Person 2: Yeah. It was a complete nonsequence.
