"ilheu do tomas" is a rather important island in the maldives, dating back to the 1600s. Although there are no inhabitants as of today, it was once populated by a group of individuals who called themselves the "tomasturbandonum".

I visited ilheu do tomas a long time ago and it was rather magnificent....
