1. A meaning assigned to an acronym, after the acronym has already been established, that is different from its original meaning.

2. An acronym wherein the definition was created after the acronym was decided upon, usually involving bad grammar or extra words in order to make the acronym "spell something."

1. CC used to mean "Carbon Copy," but recently it's been redefined with the backronym "Courtesy Copy."

2. The definition "Get Rid Of Slimy girlS" is a backronym set up specifically so we could call our club "G.R.O.S.S"

In computer gaming:

Noun: A solution to a level or puzzle that the designer overlooked, especially if it is simpler than the official solution.

Verb (transitive): To solve a level or puzzle in a way that the designer did not intend, often using a relatively straightforward method, but not by cheating.

I had to revise my map design because of a backroute that had been discovered.

I thought I had designed the hardest level ever, only for someone to backroute it.

backrooms

Backrooms are places that exists out of our reality, the perfect example is the space behind mirror. Many entities live there for example Chaxs. Backrooms are described as endless dark space without comfort or warm. The floor is cold and dusty and there is no light. The time doesn't exist, therefore you can spend years in there desperetly begging for help.

when you hear that this item has to be backordered, it means you're fucked. often it's a smaller piece infrequently needed for a larger thing, but will be critical for your needs. is not being massively shipped to every convenient location near you, may have fallen out of favor over time. comes from like one place far away, and often takes it's sweet time to travel, because the company seems to not care to expedite it. it's like they don't really care about selling it anymore.

we'll have to backorder those cables/batteries/broken antenna piece /whatever. anything proprietary and rare.
