poklen

A term used in Brunei Darussalam as a label to citizens(often the younger generations) that tries so hard to be as non-local as possible and fails to look or act proper in their attempt. often identified with poor fashion or naming sense, these "poklens" are often looked down upon.

It can be deduced that the origin of the word stems from the older generation of the local term "puak lain" which literally means other tribe (puak=tribe, lain=other). however due to slang and communication difference( which could be attributed to difficulty in talking due to age) between the older generation and the younger generation its form is slightly altered and merged into one word: "poklen" (Pok=Puak, len=Lain).

Judgmental person: " poklen eh ko ani".
example of olden sentence which could be used by older generations: " jangan tah di tiru poklen (puak lain) atu".

A very smart, sweet girl with lots of things on her mind. She may seem distracted a lot and that's because she is most of the time. Very creative and sometimes shy. She always has to have music on, she likes to get lost in the lyrics. She doesn't think she's attractive at all but in reality she's the most gorgeous thing you'll ever meet. Cares too much. Good judge of character. Loves helping others, without asking for anything in return. Not easily influenced. Has so much planned for her. Is a pacifist and has a bohemian feel to her. She likes playfighting. Looks like the most innocent person alive but can be the sexiest, kinky little thing if you get her to that stage. Likes being pushed to do better. Always looking after those around her.

Poleepkwa

A breed of alien species that became the first, undeniable contact between humans and aliens. They were first discovered inside their UFO hovering over Johannesburg.

They sport an ant-like exoskeleton, with human like limbs. They are very skinny, but are usually a foot or more taller than a human of similar age.

The Poleepkwa took my wife away yesterday, but gave her back today. She has a slight limp.
