Wal-Mart paranoid

1. When one is at Wal-Mart or any other large store and they see someone they don't like/ don't want to talk to and spend the rest of the time trying to avoid that person. One becomes paranoid and worries that the person will stalk them down and talk to them.
"Oh my gosh, Marcus, it's Kaci. We have to hide now! and there's Brittany! and Marci! Quick, turn left before they see us!"
"I'm so Wal-Mart paranoid right now... I'm afraid she's going to pop around the corner and try to start a conversation!"

parentified child

A parentified child is a child who is forced to act like an adult when they are still in their childhood. They tend to take on adult responsibilities for themselves, their siblings and often their parents.

Signs you were parentified as a child:
-Often told you were "mature for your age"
- Pulled into arguments between parents
- Relied on for emotional support from parents
- Spend a big chunk of time taking care of others in your family
-Often feeling responsible for the feelings and wellbeing of others
- Lack of boundaries with family members
- The familv peacekeeper
No time to be a child or engage in child-like activities

The act of parenting in a manner in which you are so far up your own kid's ass that you lose your identity, or ability to function in a reasonable, rational and otherwise non-destructive way.

texticopter parenting: texting your teen at school to see if they've signed up for a class, conferenced with a teacher, remembered to pack warm enough undergarments for after school sports, etc.

tank parenting

The opposite of Helicopter Parenting, where rather than hovering over and monitoring children closely, the parent remains in a stationary position, only turning their head when they hear crying or someone yelling "Mom" or "Dad" for a sustained period of time.
