Pro-Melanated is about uplifting and empowering the melanated brown Americans on a spiritual, financial and psychological scale, but some people might disagree with me on that statement and that’s part of the problem.
Melanated people want to do right thing for the melanated American community but they think that if you don’t view pro- melanated mindsets in the exact same monologue they do then all of a sudden you are not “awakened.” I swear it’s like some of them want to make being pro-melanated thinking a damn competition. I’ve had people try to test me with that stuff a few times. If I didn’t know the same Truth as them, all of a sudden I wasn’t “awakened” enough.

The unintentional act of being distracted while attempting to meditate due to the realization that you are, are not, or should be meditating. Also refers to excessive self-awareness and self-consciousness pertaining either to one's mind or body, occurring during or interfering with successful meditation practices. Common in persons meditating for the first or second time, or who don't believe in or agree with the premise of meditation. Sometimes accompanied by or triggered by embarrassment about the fact that they are meditating.
Ex 1: Whenever I finally started to relax and lose myself in the meditation exercises, I would think, "Ok, it's working now!" This metatation always caused me to lose my hard-won focus.
Ex 2: A couple times I almost started to fall into the rhythm of the Yoga class, at which point I would ask myself, "What am I even doing at a stupid Yoga class?", the metatation jolting me back into my crowded, disorganized thinking pattern and daily worries.

Get the metatation mug.The melanated Manosphere is an online community that consists of podcasts, online forums, and videos of men sharing their misogynoir, disdain, and utter hatred, so they bash women they can't attain to make up for their losses, and in turn, they attack melanated women and girls unprovoked, targeting them by saying brown women and girls are aggressive, masculine, and unruly, which removes the responsibility of supporting us from everyone who isn't us. There are many issues with the Melanin manosphere; a primary feature is the inclusion of eurocentric supremacist and misogynistic views because of their own social exclusion from eurocentric digital spaces, with the goal of ensuring everyone who watches their podcasts that melanated women are undesirable and a ‘hassle’ to interact with.
Melanated women are the most disrespected and unprotected women in America, and yet they're at the forefront of every historical movement regarding melanated men's unjust murders by the hands of corrupt policemen, marching at every rally in defense of melanated men and making sure they get justice, but when it's time to give the same attention to the melanated women, we get the justifications of our own murders by the men in our communities; they don't respect us, they never protect us, and because of that, laws will have to be passed in order to protect us.

If we are to dismantle these systems of oppression and prevent the radicalization of melanated boys and men, we have to allow melanated women and girls to thrive and prosper.
