A manga that is well known for its wacky characters, intense action sequences, and insane plot lines. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, written by Hirohiko Araki, is a seven part series that gained most of its popularity in the 90s and is the second longest running manga to date (over 100 volumes and counting).
The story revolves around a protagonist, who has the syllable "jo" in his first and last name, who has to kill an immortal evil that threatens mankind (vampires, gods, ex.) . The series is best known for its references to popular music in America, most of which are the names of characters in the series. Suzi Q, Vanilla Ice, White Snake, ZZ Top, Lisa Lisa, the list goes on.
Today the only thing people remember about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is Dio Brando crushing the shit out of Jotaro with a steam roller while yelling "WRYYY" which is ultimately the best scene in the series but keeps would-be fans from reading anything else in the story.

Anyone new to reading manga or in need of a good classic series should read this.
Of all the volumes in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Volumes 5-12 are my personal favorite. The plot circulates around three gods named Wham, ACDC, and Cars. The protagonist, named Joseph Joestar, teams up with a Italian man who kills people with soap bubbles and a nazi with a machine gun coming out of his chest to defeat them! I don't remember the rest but you should read it...its that awesome!

A great manga/animu about impossibly buff pogchamps who beat the living shit out of their enemies using either Shamon or these wacky motherfuckers called stands, who look like people you've seen in cocaine-induced wet dreams.

A show about muscular, kinda gay men who use electric kung fu and punching ghosts in order to fight gay vampires, ancient aztec strippers, gay vampires again, david bowie, the mafia boss, the gay vampires' boyfriend and the president of the united states. Also has awesome music. There was that one song that goes "*taradadadaratatarara* *taradadataratarara* *taradadaratataRAAAAAAA* Shijimaaaa noooo, soko kaaraaaaaa"

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, or Jojo, is a hellish landscape of a series that consumes the innocent souls bound to walk this earth. The inescapable voice of a sweaty, greasy Jojo fan, sitting in his basement. His room illuminated by a lamp on his desk, he takes a deep breath and a dorito as he move his microphone to his mouth. "Is that a Jojo reference?" He whispers in his raspy voice. You reach for your gun, crying as you realize all hope is lost.
