When the edgy person in the group chat copy and pastes somebodies joke but changes a thing about it to make it edgy, usually related to politics or historical events.

Edgy friend: What do you mean you got brutally assaulted by the police!? You need to attack in the clan war!

Edgard is an amazing genuine, honest, and sexy guy!! When you meet an Edgard and get to know him you’ll have an incredibly hard time letting him go. He’s super sweet and understanding, and will never let u overthink. U can talk about everything with him he’s a great listener, will give u the best honest responses and honestly funny as hell!! Tho he is very indecisive, with things like what game he wants to play on roblox, etc… so u might have to help him out w that… He’s also a great texter, I promise you, you’ll never get tired of talking to him!!! He’s very loyal and great at expressing his emotions and communicating with you. He’s also very talented on the arts especially when it comes to music!! When u meet an Edgard it might feel unreal, it will all seem too good to be true. But as time passes, and you see he never changed you’ll realize how lucky you are to have meet him and gotten close to such an incredible guy like him.

unintentional edgelord

people in online comment sections or forums giving extreme, hyperbolic, and/or controversial opinions for attention and validation. However, unlike normal edgelords, these commenters actually believe these opinions (albeit their belief is usually based on feeling rather than research) and are not just given for shock value. They even usually believe they're smarter than others and are unaware that they are seeking validation.

A common form it takes is the commenter pointing at a normal human behavior, a flaw in human perception, or a societal trait. Followed by them call it stupid (without researching why it exists) in a way that generalizes humanity but puts themselves on a pedestal for being above people that do that behavior or follow that norm.

person 1: I can't believe people fall for (illusion our brain isn't designed to see through), we are such a stupid species.
person 2: how does that make us stupid, we've never needed to use this in the wild.
person 1: but I figured it out, humans are the dumbest.
person 2: After it was explained to you. Look, can you even support that or are you just an unintentional edgelord?
person 1: *Leaves conversation in frustration*
