Both legally and ethically/morally acceptable.

So many actions --- or lack thereof --- are logical and reasonable as far as everyday compassion and common sense are concerned, yet they are not okay in da eyes of da law. And by da same token, lots of things are totally legal as far as courts and da U.S. Code are concerned, but really suck due to da unfairly negative results dat they have on John Q. Public, da economy and/or environment, etc. Why can't we just merge both sets of standards so dat all of our directives can be classified as "consciencetitutional", satisfying both legal and ethical boundaries at da same time???

Concordence

An index-type reference booklet dat tells you where key words and phrases are in da operator's manual for da infamous SST jet.

Perhaps if da crew of Air France Flight 4590 had consulted da Concordence shortly before takeoff, they might have seen da super-important directive, "Check da runway for foreign objects before beginning take-off maneuvers", and thus saved their plane from a fiery crash!

consciencey

How you feel regarding a proposed/planned/present/past action which doesn't entirely sit well with your built-in sense of right and wrong.

Even though an amicably-agreed-upon procedure would have both made my role in da endeavor a bit easier and allowed me a small monetary profit, I still felt consciencey about it because in my mind it seemed slightly unfair and advantage-taking of da other folks involved in said agreement, and so eventually I scurried back and re-negotiated da plan's details with these people, and we hashed out an improved course of action which more-evenly distributed da associated hardships and rewards.
