Filipinos are very hospitable and friendly, often misinterpreted by English-speaking Europeans or Americans as something else. Life is tough in the Philippines that's why Filipinos go abroad even in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia or Nigeria. If you think your life is tough due to the current economic situation? You ain't seen nothing, mate. Go live in the Philippines and you'll see what really "tough situation" means from a Filipino perspective.
