You just used the bathroom and you left a little something behind that the first flush didn't get. You don't want to waste water by flushing again, so you tear off a couple pieces of toilet paper and drop it on top of the water to hide your contributions. This is called a shader.

cel-shade

Cel-Shading is a recently popularized form of graphics arts. Cel-Shading has been used in the animation field probably years before it was a possibility in the video game field. In fact, a lot of the modern day Japanese animation is cel-shaded at some point or another (such as a 360 spin scene where it's hard to draw each angle of a character).

Cel-Shading in the video game industry has only appeared in a few non-animation based games, such as Jet Grind Radio, Rez, and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. There are two advantages to Cel-Shading:

1. Better FPS. A lot of the time there's a lack of complex texture. Though the lighting is very stressed, the GPU doesn't have to process a lot of high VRAM using textures.

2. More of a animated look. For cases when you want a cartoon looking scene rather than a realistic one, and when flat shading just doesn't look right.

Eventhough 50 and Eminem are corporate rappers that sold out, their radio station Shade45 plays bomb diggity jams.

A term used in the African American community to describe bootleg workers or people who are underhanded and make/do shady deals under the table. This term could also refer to lazy bootleg workers.

These mechanics are not about the right...they are a bunch of shade tree niggas.

When a poem, story or book is good in too many ways to concisely describe, it is said to be 50 Shades of Fabulous.

Exactly the opposite of 50 shades of gay, this phrase is quite often used when in the throes of fangirling.
