Deaftonement

When it's close to the end of the year and you desire forgiveness but remember you aren't religious so god can't hear you.

As the end of the year gets closer I think of all the ways I've trespassed against my fellow man and I am overcome by a sense of deaftonement.

A thunderously-presented word-meaning.

Any "read-out-loud" dictionary-entry can easily be turned into a deafenition if ya do indeed "read it sufficiently loud" --- i.e., maybe blast it over a 100-watt megaphone to be absolutely sure dat everyone else in da room hears said Oxford's Abridged entry. Now of course, whether said "audience" can still hear anything else a-f-t-e-r you make said high-decibel presentation is a whole 'nother matter entirely! :P

Deafwannabe

It is a term that is often used critically describe a hearing person who inserts themselves into Deaf spaces, uses ASL, adopts Deaf cultural identity, and oversteps boundaries despite not being Deaf.

I do not want to go out on Deaf Night Out at Starbucks, it's overrun with Deafwannabes.
