COVID-crafty

Adjective describing a person who is forced to become crafty by COVID-19 sequestering: e.g., issuing copycat sidewalk chalk art projects to their kids, darning socks instead of braving Costco, baking.

I tried repeatedly to explain that I am the opposite of a crafty Pinterest mom. I have zero creativity. I am only COVID-crafty.

covid poser

A Covid poser is someone who on the surface seems to be the most committed person to mask wearing, and social distancing and enforcing all the rules. However this is the same person that was shopping at Walmart, going to a friends house for Thanksgiving and is not wearing a mask unless anyone’s watching.

Me: So Mom, I thought you didn’t leave your house for six months? Why are you at Walmart and out to dinner with your friends, no mask in sight? Sounds like a Covid poser to me?
Mom: “No I just did curbside delivery!”
Me: “Right...”

Covid-10

When seeing a member of the opposite sex in public wearing a face mask. The person appears to be a 10 out of 10 on the numerical point scale for attractiveness. When the face mask is removed, there true attractiveness is revealed often several points below a 10.

The woman removed her mask, her teeth were buck, and her nose was stout. If she kept her mask on she'd be a covid-10.

COVID Werewolf

The person who originally contracted and spread COVID to your cluster. Generally this person got the vid from an unknown source and spread the virus to his friends. The best way to identify your werewolf is through contact tracing. Named the werewolf due to the old legend that all werewolves descend from an original werewolf who infected the other werewolves.

Bob: I have COVID and I got it through Bill. Bill got it from Jimmy who got it at a Lame Impala concert. I guess Jimmy is my COVID werewolf.
