A vocative or exclamative interjection used in some parts of Spain (especially in the north). It is an abbreviation of "hombre" or "home" (man). It is equivalent to "hey", "huh" or "guys".
"Pasáime el telefóno, ho" Pass the phone, hey.
"¿Qué ye eso, ho?" What is that, huh?
"¡Es navidad, ho!" It's Christmas, hey!

Basically another way of saying "are you okay?" "Are you in your right sense of mind?" Other ways of saying it is like for example replacing "coo" with something that is cold like "ho is you winter?"
